A student from Bartley Secondary School got arrested after he cut a teacher with a penknife on Monday (Apr 28). The school mentioned on Tuesday that the teacher got taken to the hospital where he got outpatient treatment. The principal, Britta Seet, said, “He has been given medical leave and is recovering well at home.” She also mentioned that a police report was filed. The student, who is helping with the investigation, hasn’t come back to school yet. The police verified that a report was made, and the student was taken into custody.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force received a call for help around 12.25 pm on Monday. One person was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The principal stated, “We are in contact with the student and the student’s parents and will continue to provide support to the student and affected staff.”
