Claim S$300 CDC Vouchers: Singaporean Households Guide

Singaporean households are gearing up to claim and utilize S$300 (US$220) in Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers starting from Friday, January 3. The vouchers aim to assist households in tackling the challenges of managing the cost of living, with the flexibility to be used at participating hawkers, heartland merchants, and supermarkets.

How to Claim and Use the Vouchers

To claim the vouchers, one member representing the household can log in with their Singpass account at go.gov.sg/cdcv to access the latest tranche of vouchers, valid until December 31, 2025. Following the successful claim, an SMS containing a unique voucher link will be sent from “gov.sg” to the registered mobile number, which can then be shared with other household members for utilization.

Participation and Benefits

Approximately 1.33 million Singaporean households are eligible to claim the vouchers this time around. The addition of private coffee shop operators as participating merchants, with about 600 coffee shop stalls offering budget-friendly meal options and accepting CDC vouchers, has widened the accessibility for residents. The scheme, initiated in June 2020, aims to support lower-income households in managing living expenses and to provide a boost to hawkers and heartland merchants affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Support and Assistance Available

Residents encountering difficulties in claiming the vouchers digitally can seek assistance at community centers, clubs, or SG Digital Community Hubs. To ensure a smooth process, youth and student volunteers from various institutions will be on hand to provide support alongside CDC ambassadors. Additionally, SG Digital Office’s Digital Ambassadors and Silver Infocomm Wellness Ambassadors will be stationed at community centers or clubs from January 3 to January 16, 2025, offering guidance to residents.

In conclusion, the initiative not only provides financial relief but also fosters a sense of community and support among Singaporean households during these challenging times. With the collective effort of the government, participating businesses, and residents, the CDC voucher scheme continues to make a positive impact on the lives of many in Singapore.
